Making an appointment, rescheduling or cancellation policy
Due to an ongoing problem of people changing their photo session appointment date, I have had to come up with a cancellation policy. I do ask that when clients make an appointment, they take into consideration that I usually only do one photoshoot a day, so when one appointment date gets cancel or changed, that messes up my schedule for the entire day or week.
Choose the date and time very carefully; select a date that you are 100% sure you will be able to attend, aside from an emergency.
Making an appointment policy and cancellation policy is as followed.
HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT: To make an appointment, the client must send an email to the service you are requesting and dates you are available, and I will contact you within 24 hours with full information.
HOW TO CONFIRM AN APPOINTMENT: Payment information will be emailed to the client when the client is ready to make the payment, which is 50% of your session fee. The remaining balance is due to the time of the service. I will email you an invoice I do not accept checks, no exceptions.
PAYMENT POLICY: I only accept payments via Online or cash; I do not take checks or any other type of payments, no exceptions.
Invoices expired after 24 hours of being emailed to a client; please make sure you are ready to complete the amount when you request a date, I can not hold any dates without you completing your invoice first, no exceptions.
WE WANT TO PREVENT FRAUD ONLINE: For the client and business safety, we want to stop retail/ATM frauds. For large payment, we do request a copy of your current license photo ID with no exceptions.
RETAINER IS NONE REFUNDABLE: All retainers aren't refundable no exceptions, please make sure you want to make an appointment with me.
RESCHEDULING A CAKE SMASH: Cancellation or rescheduling is not acceptable, we purchase props and cake weeks in advance for the session, the retainer will be lost if you can not make it to the agreed date you secured, no exceptions.
RESCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS $60 FEE: If you need to reschedule for whatever reason emergency or not, there will be a $60 rescheduling fee, no exceptions. You must notify me 48 hours before your session date. If you do not know what date you want to reschedule the second appointment, you have up to 10 days to get back to me with the new date. If I don't hear from you after 10 days with a new date, you automatically will lose your retainer.
FOR HOW LONG IS THE CREDIT GOOD: The client has 30 days from the rescheduling date request to have their photos taken if they don't pick a date within 30 days the retainer will be lost, no exceptions.
I will add the $60 rescheduling fee to the remaining balance.
If a client cancels more than twice, the photographer reserves the right not to make any further appointments.
IF NEED TO CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT: If you cancel the appointment and don't want any photo services in the future, the retainer is non-refundable with no exceptions.
PHOTO PERMITS FOR OUTDOORS SESSIONS:
Specific locations might require a city photo permit; the client is responsible for applying and purchasing the license 14 days before the session if it is needed.
MAKEUP & HAIR:
Makeup and hair not included in the photo price; we can refer you to our glam team if you need one
BAD WEATHER: Many ask, what will happen if the weather is terrible on the day of our photoshoot? It is up to the photographer if the appointment needs to be rescheduled due to bad weather. Bad weather consists of all-day rain, thunderstorms, or a blizzard. We live in California, and the chances of that happening are very low. When scheduling in the spring, fall, or winter, it could be cloudy that is not enough reason to cancel a session or rescheduling.
My best suggestion is to dress warm and layer up. Also, if you schedule something in the summer, anything less then 60 is not a reason to cancel a session. It is always best to shoot in the shade if it is too sunny, it will stay fresh.
FINAL WORK TURN AROUND TIME:
For small sessions, retouched images turn around time is 7 days. The client must select what images they want to get retouched.

The video is not a service that I provide in my packages; I can gladly share a professional videographer whom I work within most of my events and sessions that offer fantastic storytelling film work.
